You've created a chain of effects/logic that shows what your work should achieve – but how do you turn that into clear goals? And how do you know if you're actually achieving them?
In this format, we'll show you how to formulate concrete and verifiable impact goals from your desired changes (outcomes). You'll learn how to recognize whether something has actually changed within your target group and how to define appropriate indicators to demonstrate this.
Using a practical example, you'll walk through the process step by step: You'll see how goals and measurable indicators are connected, recognize when a goal doesn't align with a given measure, and practice formulating your own indicators of impact. You'll also learn where to find proven examples, how to determine the initial state of your target group, and how to effectively track changes.
In the practical test one to two weeks later, we will work together on real-life examples from the group and develop suitable signs/indicators of effectiveness. Case presenters, listeners, and fellow learners are welcome.

Acker Impact is a social enterprise that supports other non-profit organizations, foundations, (social) enterprises, and research institutions in systematically planning, measuring, and managing their social impact. At the heart of their work is impact-oriented management, which is firmly embedded in the organizations' structures and processes to increase efficiency and visibility. Acker Impact assists partners in formulating impact goals, developing appropriate impact indicators, and conducting evidence-based impact analyses. Another focus is impact research, which uses innovative methods to investigate whether projects and programs actually achieve their intended effects and how these can be sustainably ensured. A well-known educational program closely associated with the Acker community is the GemüseAckerdemie (Vegetable Academy ), where children grow their own vegetables at schools, thus gaining practical knowledge about nutrition, nature, and sustainability.
